To Configure CAD Converter Settings for a CIS/2 Data Source

  1. Double-click CSST.mdb (C:\ConstructSimData\Projects\<ProjectName>\CSST) to open CSST-Admin.
  2. From the left pane, expand CSST Set-Up.
  3. Double-click Configure Data Processing Converters. The VCM Data Processing Configuration window opens.
  4. Click CAD Converter Settings. The CAD DataSources dialog opens.
  5. Click Add DataSource to create a new datasource for the project.
  6. In the New Data Source dialog, enter a project name and select CIS/2 (stp) from the drop-down menu.
    The Input section displays in the dialog.
  7. In the Input section, turn on Folder and browse to the C:\ConstructSimData\Projects\<ProjectName>\ProjectData\CAD\CIS2 folder and click OK.
  8. In the New Data Source dialog, click Configure. The CIS/2 Converter Configuration Options dialog opens.
  9. In the CIS/2 Converter Configuration Options dialog, turn on the following options:
    • Web and Flange Thickness
    • Plate Thickness
    • Weld Geometries
    • Copes
    • Aggregate Park Geometries into Assemblies
  10. Change Input Units to foot.
  11. In the CIS/2 Converter Configuration Options dialog, click OK to close the dialog. The new CIS/2 data source displays in the CAD DataSources dialog.
  12. Click Done to close the CAD DataSources dialog and complete the configuration.
